It’s been a while since I’ve been serious about my writing and, now that I have copious free time on my hands, I’ve decided to dip my toes back into the writing pond (so to speak) with BIAM.
BIAM, for those not in the know, is Book in a Month. And my choice of BIAM poison is Victoria Lynn Schmidt’s Book in a Month. I don’t know if I’ll be able to write a 90k book in a month but I’m pretty sure I can get a handle on a very detailed outline.
Anyway, every Wednesday, I’m going to post my progress, either with her BIAM strategy or with some other weird and wonderful writing tip I’ve come across or discovered. So, the WW you see in the title is, unimaginatively enough, an acronym for Writing Wednesday.
So, my progress thus far with Victoria’s BIAM:
- Wrote the one-sentence summary
- Mapped the story ideas
I have to admit I’m a bit behind on the story scene cards but I’ll be sitting down either tonight or tomorrow to flesh those out.
By the way, if my son is reading this, I’ve used alliteration at least once in this post. Can you find it?
